Ok there is a story behind this question, but it involves not reading the details (I know its a cardinal sin when it comes to software) and a bit of my own stupidity, but do any of you know if a Windows XP Home serial will work for Windows XP Pro?

Its too much trouble. Home is the same as pro without a few features you don't need. If you want pro bad then get a pro key.
