Yup. My Samsung 1GB YP-MT6Z MP3 player died today... I paid $160 after taxes for it (remember this was a long time ago).

My songs are still there... I can still access them and listen to them via PC... but I can't format the MP3 player, from the player itself or the PC. I can't delete the songs or add new ones... and when I turn it on the player says there are no tracks, with 0mb used and 0mb free space...

Wow thats a spirit breaker, $160 down the drain... gonna call Samsung tomorrow... see what they can do

:(

I think so yeah... that's what I'm worried about. I think I've had it for well over a year now...

:w00t:

Went to Samsung's website, and downloaded the firmware update (which was much harder to use than it should have been) for the MP3 player... updated the version from 1.111 to 2.121... it reflashed and formatted everything.

Now it works like brand spankin' new, and the update fixed another little problem I was having. :) :)

My brain > Samsung's shitty unreliable MP3 players. :P

I was considering getting a new MP3 player, but now that I've fixed mine, to hell with it. How does anyone listen to 20GB+ of music anyway?
