I was greatful to a Kazaa lite user that informed me I was sharing files with a P2P virus that my Virus checker had somehow missed.
Following his excellent instructions I was able to remove the files and clean my computer.

I wondered if there was a way to easily check periodically myself without looking through registry entries.
The solution I came up with is detailed below.

1. If you have a home network, set up a second Kaaza Lite account on another computer.
2. Using KazuperNodes set both computers to the same supernode, doesn't matter which one you choose.
3. On the second computer search for a file known to be in the main computers search folder.
4. Expand the search result to see individual users then select the entry that relates to you.
5. Right click and select "Find More From Same | User"

You can now ensure that you are only sharing the files you intend to share.

An alternative is to have a friend conect to the same supernode so that you can check each others files.
This could be used to download files from a specific user, but there are better ways.

Reading your Shared Folder though your browser. This was created in KaZaa 2.0 and up and I believe. I think this is somehow related for the searching of Super Nodes.

if u just run a good antivirus program and keep it updated u wont have any problems

of corse there are new ones comming out every day so its not fool prof but it works fine for me i have cought every virus that ever tryed to get in

simple rulls to fallow

1 make shure u got the filter in kazaa set to block theses type files

.scr, .vbs, .jpg.exe, .jpg.vbs, .avi.exe, .avi.vbs, .mp3.exe, .mp3.vbs, -fulldownloader, 3-fulldwnloader, -full-downloader, -games-fulldownloader, divx-fulldownloader, 3-full-dwnloader-, -games-fulldownloader-, -games-fulldownload, pack-fully-download

if u realy want to be shure add these

, .htm, .html, .url, .sys, .ini, .xml, .vbs, .js, .bat, .eml, .dbx

these are the new kiddy pron filters that klite 2.1b3 adds

, r@ygold, reelkiddimov, kiddie, underage, preteen

and i add .reg too so i dont get regesty filles that can cause problems

2 all ways run a anti virus and keep it updated at least once a week

3 run and update a software firewall even if u have a hardware firewall

1. You haven't started Kazaa yet, or
2. You have K++ v2.03.666 and have disabled port 1214 in K++ and changed Kazaa's port to a new port

Change 1214 to the port Kazaa uses and you'll see your files, or some FastTrack info (if you enabled that option in K++ v2.03.666).
