I read all of them and thoroughly enjoy them. I think they do a good job with the films, too. Just bought and watched the latest one, Goblet of Fire. I think the books are better b/c they aren't trimmed down to fit in a 2-3 hour movie.

Good books to introduce people to faantasy stories,nothing to taxing in there.
Overly hyped,I think they won't stand the test of time like Tolkein
