you wont get viruses at all there and I can guarantee you you wont get any if you download off the guys from here :)

The thing about SoulSeek is that you often "know" who you are downloading from...so the chance of getting a virus...is minimised....

idea.....maybe we should virus scan all the newbies...as they enter the room, Ad? ;)

Soulseek is a 1 to 1 filesharing system. You get the file from 1 person.

As such it's as simple as - if the file you get had a virus, then you will get the virus on your PC. You are trusting that the person you are getting the file from is careful and does not get viruses themself.

You should assume that you will get a virus every time you connect to the internet and take precautions to stop it happening.

Considering the app is mostly based around music its not much of an issue unless your getting some type of software which you should scan in any situation or have some type of av at least...

...blitz is not related to chuck Norris....

The lab results haven't been confirmed yet,
but there is rumor of blitz being Chuck's illegitimate child.
Chuck did spend some time as a Texas ranger. :O

i've been using soulseek for years, and haven't contracted anything yet. you can set your options to disallow certain extensions, which helps. but obviously, you oughta take advantage of the community features of slsk and "know" who you're dl'ing from.
