Slow board

Is anyone else expereince severe hang ups when loading pages/making posts etc?

It seems to take ages to load after loading the first little bit, then a few minutes later all is fast again?

It gets even weirder, the Lounge seems the slowest part of the board. :blink:

Slow as feckery for me too.

Plus it was offline most of yesterday morning. Good thing I was multi-tasking by writing screenplays, paying bills online and making music so it didn't bother me too much.

Yeah slow for me too, is it cos of the bandwidth being eaten up with the amount of people accessing the same page at the same time?

I'm having same probs as above ie front page loads fine etc.

Noticed previous post was made over 2 weeks ago and still there is problem:(

Right now, it's really slow. The forums frontpage is fine but getting to threads is a nightmare.

This is the type of thing that puts newbies off sticking around, FYI.

Established members are used to it and put up with it because they already like the people who post here. Newer members who possibly came from a forum with a better server will not be used to it and, without the benefit of having a few fst mates, might just decide it's not worth the trouble.

Well the slowdowns have seemed less since we switched servers though as of late seems to frequent.
There have now been some adjustments made by rossco so we shall see if this works...

Well RealitY removed those realmedia ads...hopefully they were the problem all along.
