3 gigs, on dial-up that's like eight and a half days of solid downloading! What speed connection do you have?

Oh yeah that's a great game, especially with a controller. Runs better on the PC too, no jutters.

Are you sure? Working on the basis that on dial-up at full speed, you can download one megabyte every four minutes, that's 15mb and hour, and 360mb a day, so by my working it should have taken atleast four days solid. Anyway... is it any good, I was thinking of getting it.

imo, splinter cell is the biggest let down for a pc game in the last year. sure, the graphics are brilliant, but the controls are awkward and the action isn't thoughtout enough.
i'd say you should download it to see it running, but unless you've got a pretty good spec, it won't run too well

yeah I do that, the electricity's about a quarter of the price too.

Electricity cheaper during night? It must be a joke!
Anyhow, after I bought new PC I can only have it on during night because the FAN drives me (and my family) crazy. We're moving soon, then Ill put it in a closet and go wireless.

First movie I downloaded was 12 monkeys, and thats a great movie - its on my top 5 list. Both Brad Pitt and Bruce Willis are great.
It took weeks! And I am (and was) at DSL (1Mb/s).
It was a Gnutella Client, probably XoloX.

Peace!

For me, a single file of 1.23531GB!

Note:
Downloading Part 1 (700+mb) and part 2 (700+mb) of a file, is not the same as getting one huge file. The original question was single download.

well the biggest i have got in one go was on newsgroups but as they are max 20meg .rars then its not realy classed as a single download.

5gig download at least probably closer to 6 or 7 by the time i had finished adding to it.
1meg connection
PC games, various ones
probably about 6 or 7 hours but not to sure now might have been longer.
125KBs all the way and sometimes peaking at 400KBs for a few minutes and dropping down

the biggest single download was probably the daredevil centropy version 1.6gig off bittorrent
again 125KBs all the way
about 2:30 i think (but i never realy take a lot of notice at the time)
