I find the definition on LCD better( far superior) and uses less power.. I have heard you can't play games on plasma...

LCD is definitely better.

Over the next few months LCDs will gradually replace Plasma on the HDTV market.

The reason is that for comparatively low volumes Plasma is cheaper to produce. The start of HDTV has lead to a large increase in Plasma sales with a consequent price drop. LCD will initially reverse that trend, a better image at a higher price.

However, Plasma screens are not suitable for mass assembly without human intervention. As uptake of HDTV takes off the higher volumes will mean that it becomes more cost effective to produce large LCD screens which can be almost fully assembled by robots and the price will drop again, and to a level way below what would be possible for Plasma.

Plasmas are cheaper as of now tho, so you'd be able to get a 70 inch plasma for the price of a 50 inch LCD.

I think LCD are better, but just now they are still more expensive for what you get, size wise. If they are going to get cheaper then it's worth waiting to get one.

There are a lot of great deals on plasma just now, but they may not be properly HDTV compatible.
