Work pc

My mom brought me this old pc from her work aand I turned it on and it was fine it was working ok...but then I come back later about 10 minutes or so and when I turn on the pc the tower turns on but the monitor does nothing jus a blank black screen..mind you the monitor is on because the power is light on it is on...but just in case I try another monitor...same thing happens...everything in the tower seems to be powering up as well. does anyone know any solutions to this? id appreciate any help

Well, that's a loaded question! When you came back after 10 minutes, did you shutdown the computer earlier and turned it on? Or did you just moved the mouse? Is the OS set to sleep mode?

The next time it happens, press the reset button and if it boots, it's probably a software or bios setting.

If it remains blank after a reset, it's probably a hardware problem.

Yea I had shut down the computer and then I came back later and turned it on and thats when the problem started
