how come i have downloaded about 3 different files for halflife which have ben in the verifieds and is this file

i opened it unzipped it and when i go to the folder it unzipepd to there r loads of files and there is the install icon 1.
i click it and it comes up with a error message which is a currupt file warning i think.

but why coz i have downloaded about 3 copies of this same file from different people who have posted in the verifieds.
and all of em dont work, when people who have replied in the verifieds saing they installed it without no probs ???

am i doing something wrong

Well, i downloaded it a while ago off Kazaa and it worked for me.
Maybe you should look for a text file in the folder.

Or you could PM the person who posted the link.

BTW, what version of Windows are you using, and exactly what does that error message say?

Sometimes a corrupt file for one person isn't corrupt for another. Somewhere maybe the file goes bad. You just to keep having to try.
