I was just wondering if i can do anything to DL files faster, b/c when i DL headers i get up to 1500 KB/s but my max for files is about 120 KB/s. Is there something i can do to to make this fater- btw, im using newsleecher v3.5 beta 7 and optimum online

Your download on the headers is just ghost speed its basically just catching up with itself, your actual speed downloading files will only go as high as 120kb/s.

yeah optimum online only gives you 120kb/s max downstream from newsgroups, thats why i use newshosting.com, i get 1200kb/s (~1.2MB/s) downstream nonstop :D

i hate when it does that ghost speed stuff its like i have a 10mb connection when it decides to catch up on itself.

Surely you mean 612KB/s? I know for a fact you cant get a 60mb line in Hampshire :)

Nope its 6.12Mbps I have mine set to show Kbps not KB.

Im on 8Mb Max ADSL line which I get a DL speed of about 6Mbps on newsgroups bounces around 5 and 6Mbps but never below 4.5Mbps.
