Need to make a transparent gif

I need something to make this image have a transparent background. Or maybe someone can do it for me. I suck at graphic stuff. At the very least, I would like an idea of what program I would use to do it. :) Thanks in advance

cool. I will have to learn how to use that program. Thanks VB :) Will I be able to drop this image onto, say, a dark background and have it blend in, only seeing the design? Thats the stuff I dont understand.

It's not going to look great on a black background but it's how it's done basically.

No.

You aren't going to be able to take a low quality image such as that one and change the background color or you'll end up with something like the below effect. It isn't that VB did a poor job, it's just the image quality.

Is that the only sample of the image? :huh:

the one from fireworks does what I was asking. Thanks for the help. :) I need to learn how to do that stuff. I am an idiot when it comes to graphics and such.
