View Full Version : msn messenger file transfer ?

i have got win xp and have been using the xp firewall for ages now. The problem is whenever i try to recieve any srt of file on msn messensger (latest one) it gets transferred but then i cant open it.. However, then i go into my recieved files and open it. the mystery is that all files come through except media files like songs and video clips !
it says the file is in youre recieved folder but they aint there !! could sumone help me plz

With the latest versions of msn microsoft has implemented some security feature that will block files it deems dangerous.
Music, videos and executable files are of course, considered dangerous. :dry:
You can use a patch (such as A-patch, messpatch or univers patcher++) to solve this.

it's stupid though.
Without even asking you to confirm, it deletes your MP3 files that someone just sent you.
So annoying. :dry:
I think the Mess Patch has a solution for this, plus it can remove the ads and stuff too. :) I haven't got around to running it on the latest msn...maybe I will now.
