help installing XP on brand new blank PC

hi..

have just bought a new PC for ma dad, and i am trying to install XP - i have put the CD in, turned on the PC, but all I get is a black screen with a blinking white line.... now - i have tried pressing Del. to get to the Bios, but nothing happens, F8 doesnt do anything either..


now what!?

Try clearing CMOS and see if that gets you into BIOS.

Who assembled this PC?

'tis OK all i had to do was press F11 to get the choice of what to boot the PC with... thanks anyways clocker :)
