ION has created the world’s first USB turntable allowing you to convert your old vinyl collection directly to CD or MP3 with the included recording software. (NO SPECIAL DRIVERS NEEDED).

This is probally a good idea for people who don't have a turntable and a sound card that doesn't support input recordings.

I just recently started recording some of my LP's to wave files,I'm using a Technics turntable.
Ran my rca cord plug into a y adapter that converted it into 1/4"" miniplug into my Audigy soundcard input.

Then I just set recording to the settings "what you hear",another nice feature is the removing pop and clicks setting it offers.

Presto chango in no time your good to go.
