Long time ago I bought this (http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.midiland.com/images/MLi-991%2520Black%2520Small.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.midiland.com/proddetail.asp%3Flinenumber%3D67%26category%3D3%2520Piece&h=319&w=425&sz=34&tbnid=3TyBscYpI1e68M:&tbnh=91&tbnw=122&hl=en&start=2&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dmidiland%2Bmli-991%26svnum%3D10%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26sa%3DG) set of Speakers at Frys.
Not a long time after, I turned the volume high and it started making a strong 'buzzing' sound,
like when you make a wrong conection with an audio device; so I did the one thing one must try before anything,
hiting the damn Woofer (I forgot to add that the noice comes from the center piece, wich also has the volume and bass controls).
That, and many other times, hiting the thing worked fine, but a few days ago it started again,
and I haven't been able to stop it since.
The thing still works, I can hear the music along with the buzzing.

Do you tink the power suply is burned?

I would like to hear if someone has had this kind of problem
before opening the woofer, cus it has no screws, so I'll have to force it.

It sounds like a failed component and/or a bad soldered connection.

If you don't know anything about electonics, you won't be able to fix it.

You may get lucky and see the problem after disassembly, but I don't know if you have the skills to do anything about it.

But, since there are no screws holding this thing together, and it's a no-name brand, I wouldn't waste my time. (there's a good chance you won't get it reassembled and working properly)
