I would like to record my own music. I am a musiciqan. I would like to record my music through my computer, I am aware of Fruity loops, Cakewalk---but whicj one is goo. Kind of like a 4 trac or an 8track type system. I have my guitar, Mics and my piano..now i want to incorporate it into a program...i also have synthezisers for beats....thank you..

Its all about hardware :)
For "normal" puters with Creative Soundblaster (live or better) sort of cards you could start with Cubasis...
Check out:
Steinberg (http://www.steinberg.net/en/ps/start/?sid=0)
Emagic (http://www.emagic.de/home/news/index.php?lang=EN)
Cakewalk (http://www.cakewalk.com/)
Searching with google gives a lot of in fo too.
Im using VST-5 from Steinberg, moving on to SX...
