Hi, I'm humbly requesting the opinion from all those people with their vast knowledge of computers. What do people think of this card? I want to be able to play games but I dont want to spend a fortune as I'm on a tight budget.
Also what6s the difference between AGP and PCI if its not a stupid question?
Cheers in advance

AGP : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accelerated_Graphics_Port

PCI-E : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PCI_Express

Two different types of slots for connecting graphics cards. Check what type of slot is on your motherboard first.

not very many games will run properly on that card.

that card will probably barely run oblivion, no there's no way it's gonna run anything newer past 2006.

Get at least a x1300 or 1600 or something, if you don't want to spend a fortune.

Wouldn't you want to know what the rest of his system is before making that recommendation?

But he already said he didn't want spend too much, so that's kinda in his price range.

I guess he should find out about AGP first tho.

He might have a Pentium II or even older. It's not good to assume.

OK guys I now know I have to have AGP not PCIe after doing some research. MY system is

AMD Athelon XP 2400+ 1.5Ghz
512MB RAM
Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002
Service Pack 2
ASUS A7V8X motherboard

Any thing else needed

Get a Asus N6600LE/TD nVidia GeForce 6600LE(300MHz) 256MB (500MHz) DDR TV-Out DVI-I 8x/4x AGP Graphics Card.

For 99 bucks CAD, or 80 bucks merkin. Pretty good deal.
