Could you simulate the sound in a voice file?

Yup.

However, I'd have to be either very, very bored or very, very well paid in order to do such a thing.

My quest has ended with the required information, "how does a Giraffe sound?"
After looking on the web for a sound file it was a no go.
But I found a company that sold Giraffe Sticks, take a look at this clip.

Sorted, thanks :)

:glag: my wife now thinks i'm totaly mental, laughing at some bloke turning a stick upside down.
Hate to tell you but thats not how a giraffe sounds.

A lot of people think that giraffes don't make any sounds, but this isn't true. Usually they're silent, but at times, they do make some noise!

* Calves (baby giraffes) bleat and make a mewing call.
* Cows (female giraffes) seeking lost calves bellow.
* Courting bulls (male giraffes) sometimes let out a loud cough!
* Also, giraffes have been heard snorting, moaning, snoring, hissing, and making strange flutelike sounds!

@ Gripper "Here ya go,giraffe audio"
That sound is computer trickery, I have the real thing, Giraffe Stick :fact:
The chap on the phone from Deluxebase dept said, "it's almost real, and if you shut your eyes you can imagine a real giraffe was next to you"

Testing this,
Please note: I went outside, as Giraffes are quite tall.

Shutting my eyes and using the Giraffe Stick gave me no real effect, but I guess you must be like in the right surroundings for it to work 100%.

this has been interesting study

Baz, you never told me you were an Australian.

My dialect is a bit fucked

Most of the people I met when I was in my teens had moved into sheringham "My Home Town" from mainly London, so I picked up their dialect, and mixed with my own Norfolk dialect it became an Australian Norfolk sounding fucked up like language, but it was cool
You are not the first to say so, when I did the radio shows, it was well funny, the saying "What am I like" was a hit with some :D

Thanks for taking a look at the clip, I find it funny, I know at times my sense of humour for some is Odd, but I am an odd person.
I love to have a laugh :D

Thanks from Baz

It should be alright as long as you don't post huge pictures of your mug and have a fit each time one of your pet rabbits kicks the bucket.

There's months to go before it gets to that stage.

At last,
Video evidence of fact. A Giraffe stick is very close to the real sound.
