Why are "Mirc setup and Ftp setup" pinned in the lounge under "Important Topics"? Wouldn't they be better off in "Filesharing" or "Other Related P2P program Discussions"?????

No, because they meant originally for chat-users, and that wasn't really a part of the board back then.
