Got a email from [email protected] asking me to visit and download from that site, is this really from FST?:unsure:



ps, I've got a good av so had a look and it's an error 404.

Yup, I got this too.

It reads

I checked this link in Firefox, and like you said it turned out to be a 404

Does the FST Admin have a G-mail address?

Anyone of you admin people have noticed that some threads are fecked up?
One thread requesting a photoshop keygen has been merged with one of Baccyman's joke threads (http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/showthread.php?t=120069) and mikeco's overheating router thread with Yoga's God will save you (http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/showthread.php?t=120071). :blink:

Either our email addresses have been sold to a third party for nefarious purposes (i.e. spam mail) or the board has been hacked again.

There really isn't a third option.

You can send messages directly to members' emailadress through their profile.

You can send messages directly to members' emailadress through their profile.I never thought of a guy clicking a member's profile, then copy pasting the email header, then copy pasting the message body and then hitting send.

Then repeating it a hundred thousand times.

How silly of me not to consider this.

You can't get their email addresses in any case, the best you can do (if the user allows it) is to send an email which would come from the board (which would not be [email protected])
