What The Name Of The Movie?

i saw a movie 2 years ago or something like this but i cant remember his name and i will if anyone can help me :(
it was about a famous drunk and drugged soccer player who had been sent to jail and was the star of a soccer game between the prisoners to the warders.
do anyone know what im talking on? :blink:

Yeah,

"Mean machine" with Burt Reynolds as the ex-pro football quarterback and "Jaws" from the James Bond movies as a police officer. Eddie Albert was the warden.

In the end, Burt goes to fetch a stray ball, Albert delcares that he is trying to escape and to shoot him. Just before they do, he bends down, picks up the ball, and heads back. Whew.

I guess they just trade the stray football, with a stray soccer ball, how creative.


I can't wait for the Cricket version or the Bocci ball version.

yeah hobbes i've only seen the Burt reynolds version,superb film
my type of movie . i hav'nt seen the vinnie jones one..but i'm british,so who don't know vinnie..the nutter :lol: :lol:

i thought the burt reynolds movie was called "the longest yard." unless it was released under a second title in different countries....
