Strange problem

I just installed NOD32, and when I restarted my computer I found out that I had almost no access to my computer, my task manager was unavailable, shut down no longer on start menu, getting "The operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." when trying to do Start+Run. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to restore everything without having to do system restore?

Are you running as administrator or limited account? And sometimes when installing software a 2nd reboot helps. Did you CLEANLY uninstall the previous AV?

Yes, I am runing an administrator account. I cleanly uninstalled the previous antivurus through Add and Remove Programs. I have also rebooted it twice since then, I might just have to do a system restore and see what happens, but that will all have to wait, I am exhausted and am going to bed very shortly.
