I'm using Spybot right now and I'm not sure that it is doing a great job since my virus scanner just picked up some spyware on my computer :(

I am trying to find a good antispyware, preferably one that I can leave on running in the background and scan my internet in realtime so I can prevent the spyware before it infects me.

If anyone knows anything I can do, please let me know. Every week I scan my computer and it finds like 10,000 things wrong with it ;)

Giant or Microsoft Anti spyware works fine , or try Adaware and a Trojan Remover .

Some antispyware programs I use:

Adaware (free)
Spybot search and destroy (free)
Spy sweeper (not free)
MS Windows Defender (free)
Spyware Doctor (not free)

Its also good to have an antivirus software like NOD32 or Kaspersky. ;)

Trend Micro Anti-Spyware. Love it. But I only have 3/11 realtime monitors running. As the other 8 are redundant on my security setup.

Ad-aware does the job! However, Spy Doc will do it even better!
