Windows Update 06/13/06. Which update is the new WGAN? Can't tell by the descriptions. I'd like not to install it. Thanks.

That was over a week ago - have you been sleeping?

You can't not install it, but there are some work arounds that still work.

Not true. Update (KB905474) is not installed on my computer. I just heard of a new WGAN & didn't find it on WU. So it must have been (KB905474). I successfully downloaded & installed all 8 critical updates today. So (KB905474) is not mandatory. But I did have the new dll.:)

There was an update last week, and if you wanted to proceed with Microsoft Update there was no choice but to install it. Maybe it was optional with Windows Update, but I didn't get that impression from what other people said. But it's still fixed with the dll. ;)

If you just get the security updates there won't be any WGA stuff involved. That should reduce the list of potential problems, but I've downloaded the lot and not had any worries.
