Keyboard stops working..

Im having a problem with my keyboard..it stops working after the screensaver has been on for along time.

I have a Compaq computer..and its got software installed on it for the keyboard(its got some media keys)

Is there somewere I can look at keyboard settings or something like that?

I looked in the CMOS settings, not sure what Iwas looking for, but I didnt see anything about keyboards.
