There has to be other sites that are the calibur of Oink. As far as I know Oink is hands down the best torrent site out there. I was wondering if anyone knew different.

similar to oink, but much smaller:
http://www.indietorrents.com/ (~2200 torrents)
http://www.libble.com/ (~1100 torrents)

only grp rlses:
http://www.filemp3.org/ (~4000 torrents)
http://tracker.vipmusic.org/ (~2600 torrents)

for comparison: oink ~40500 torrents :)

As far as I can tell Oink is the best tracker for music. If your already there no need for anything else. as tdi mentioned there are a few other music only trackers but they just can't compare to the diversity of oink :) The only prob with oink is the slow upload speeds I can never seem to max my connection.

www.btmusic.org -- really nice lossless tracker with strict upload regulations
www.dimeadozen.org -- live lossless audio and bootlegs with open registration

but like the previous posters said, oink has no competition.

What about audionews?

I think they are opening registrations on 7/2 and 7/3.

There is no substitute for OiNK. Thats how amazing it is. You have over 50 torrents posted every hour. If I had to take a guess I would say 100 every hour. It's amazing

Audionews has no music, just plugins, music apps & similar stuff.

Is Oink a private tracker? Do you know if registration is required?

As I think has been already mentioned, if you go to their forums ( http://forum.btmusic.org ) and ask for an invitation, you'll generally get a positive response.

On the topic of other sites like Oink... (I asked about this in another thread but didn't get a response)... does anyone know what happened to this lossless tracker? http://lossless.servehttp.com/ ... A pretty good resource I haven't been able to connect to in a few days.

Thanks!

I noticed that as well. I signed up there not too long ago when someone mentioned the link in the "lossless music thread" and haven't been able to get into the website in a couple of days. Hopefully it's only temporary.

Oink is musical heaven on earth.

As a few others have pointed out, I've tried a few other music tracker sites none compare to it.

/kisses monitor...\ "I LOVE YOU OINK!"

That was a little confusing because of the previous posts. Are you talking about requesting an invite to oink on that forum? or btmusic?

agreed this is the wrong place to ask for or give invites. I recieved a pm today asking for oink that is most likely connected to this thread.
