Yes.

Also, RealitY just doesn't have the same impact as bAwA when mentioned in thread titles :(

He simply doesn't have the soccer gravitas.

However the plan is to use a variety of people. That will obviate the staleness issue, I should think.

The guys who Sensible Soccer 2006, a cracking PC remake of the Amiga classic, couldn't afford to buy the licence to use real player's names for their game so they just spelt the names wrong. Couldn't you just do that for the Bawa threads? If Codemasters aren't getting sued then how could you possibly get in trouble for using similar tactics?

What a fine plan, or scheme.

So we just use any old word, make something up and it's taken as being {the name that cannot be spoken} by those who want to play along.

As ever, Chebus has shown us the way.

For instance: "The Bauer Thread of Fifa Football Goodness".

You would be, of course, referring to the hero of Fox's progressively formulaic TV series and not to {the name that cannot be spoken}.

:glag:

I quite like the idea of made up words as well.

Do you think I should ask RealitY to change this thread to

BimBamBoo's Ukraine playing against a Switzerland selected soccering nation thread.

Nah, that doesn't realy work without the RealitY motif.

If it goes to penalties I might be bothered to watch it on BBC's website. Keep me informed.
