microphone prob

Hi got a microphone it all works fine but when i speak into it a can hear my own voice whilst i'm speaking with someone else. How can stop hearing myself on it? get lots of feedback.. not nice!

Select "mute" for the microphone in volume control panel.

It simply masks any sound from the mic being output through the speakers.
It does NOT (as some people think) cut off the microphone.

Thanks for your quick reply. works fine now. just muted the input monitor on the volume control panel and it works great. thanx again!
