What I hate about AOL firing the guy is that the guy acted in congruence with AOL's own retention policies.:dry:

They fired him to save face.

I told my mother years ago to sell her AOL stock but she listened to a "professional" and ended up losing a ton of money.

This was before the shit merger with Time Warner.

I told her that AOL is the king of dial-up but dial-up will no longer be king.
She didn't listen yet I've been trading for years and making nice money from it..:angry:

i sell Alltel DSL service over the phone. whenever someone tells me they have AOL and they ask about cancelling it, i tell them to have fun and make sure they have nothing important to do for awhile. :lol:

the full unedited 5 minutes of conversation even has some low-level cursing in it i think. :lol:

AOL had its thing when I was running it on an IBM with a 6mb hard drive and windows 3.1, and it was AOL version 1, before all that new crappier version a day. And before they jacked up the price once a month, and Before they started sending you 65,000 cd's a year. When they sent floppies it was kinda cool actually, I used to erase there shit and use them. But now cable is around an easy so fuck AOL's bullshit.
