I hope it's a good game and that everyone enjoys themselves.

Good luck and may the better team win.

Whatever happens, I hope you all have a smashing day of fun filled frolics.

Neville obstructed fake Ronaldo there.

Lampard looks out of his depth.

Gerrard is a genious.

FFS, they've shot Joan Teri

Agrajag
07-01-2006, 03:50 PM
Pretty even first half.

However if you were to pick who was ahead "on points" you would have to say Port Yugal. Simply because they have looked like they can score from open play. Engerland look like their only chance is a set piece.

I would take Lampard off, he's no really doing it in this World Cup. Maybe replace him with Lennon. Or go 4-4-2 with Crouch up front and Rooney playing off him.

Cheese
07-01-2006, 03:53 PM
They need to go 4-4-2.

Why did Lampard fall over, he could just have voleyed it in, or even taken a touch.

Trying to make it look flash, methinks.

FFS, 1 out of 4 and he got a hand to that 1.

I have to say it guys, it really isn't anybody's fault but your own.

Your "star man" gets himself sent off by being an arse and your multi millionaire players can't take penalties.

To be fair their keeper was a bit special at penalty saving.

Interesting point, given discussions on Australia's exit, I was furious that Rooney was sent off but when I looked at it in a more neutral fashion I could see it was justified.

Gutted.

He's about as Scottish as Mel Gibson, an American actor who played a famous Scottish historical figure.

It was for stomping on the gonads of the chap lying on the ground surely?

A moment of foolishness that probably cost his team a place in the semis. On the other hand neither team looked like they could buy a goal. Portugal will need to hope that France have expended everything to beat Brazil (which was a cracking game)

Can't help feeling that Argentina should have lifted the trophy but the Germans will be hard to beat on their own turf.

England played well with the 4-4-1 formation, they should do it more often.

It's true actually, I think it's because it brings out their true spunk.

Maybe they should try 4-4-1, with two goalkeepers. Then the second goalkeeper can also act as a sweeper when required.

DorisInsinuate
07-02-2006, 08:36 AM
They should try 4-4-1, with a ninja in the hole. He'd hide behind the ad boards and jump out and knife the opposition occasionally.

FFS, 1 out of 4 and he got a hand to that 1.

I have to say it guys, it really isn't anybody's fault but your own.

Your "star man" gets himself sent off by being an arse and your multi millionaire players can't take penalties.

The BBC pundits pissed me off a bit, saying "you gotta feel sorry for the players".

Fuck the players, I feel sorry for the fans.

The players can go back to their millionaire mansions, their flash cars and their page-3 model girlfriends and wives... The fans get to go back to their miserable little lives and start to save their money for Euro 2008 (which I think is in Australia, isn't it?)

It's the fault of the players, well, some of them, that it always goes to penalties, because of their inability to score goals. I feel a teeny bit sorry for the underappreciated players who actually did try very hard, such as Roger Hargreaves, John Lennon and that giant beanpole, but the rest were just simply lacklustre. Or prats, like Rooney.

Even Gerrard The Great looked tired.

No, it's the fans I feel sorry for the most. :(
