He wanted a Radio Station - (he allways wants stuff that FC) :rolleyes:
We talked about it.
He gave me a tip.
I took it.
I have started it.
Now the proffs can take over and do something with it.

Just click on "Tune In"

Make of it what you want - i aint no pro so dont complain about anything (bad quality etc etc)

Now, what about some of you other DJ/music buffs doing something constructive.

yeah - there are some bugs in the programme - like when i try to speak live, then the typing is heard for some reason - so i wont be doing that too often.

Anyway, this was just an experiment to see if it worked - and it does :))

also - as i cant be on 24/7 (for obvious reasons) then you wont find it when im not upstreaming to Shoutcast. But what i would like is for others to do this too - guys & gals who know a bit more about it. Its great fun and im glad to have been be able to try it out.

Have a go folks - download the software from the site and give it a go. Dont forget to advertise it here though :))

Thats the text that Shoutcast displays if there are no hits found for that search expression ;)

BTW Linda:
If you read my posts, you will have seen that i cannot be on the air 24/7 - totally impossible for me as it takes a lot of bandwidth. Thats why it would be really cool if others here could do the same thing. Download the software involved and then start up their own little broadcasts. This was just a test from my side - now if i can do it (being an old fart ya&#39;ll), so can the others B)

In order for Shoutcast to send the streaming to you, i have to be sending to them. I dont intend having winamp on all day long as i would like some quality time downloading some files myself :P

Keep an eye open on my homepage (link in my sig below) because i shall be posting in the near future when i should be sending again. I suppose the next time should be around saturday evening (european time).

hmmm is there no way we can organise it so that ppl from different time zones etc have like different time slots on the station and then have one station and put a link for it in the next k-lite, sadly that means the limit of listeners does need to be alot more than 10 ;)

I downloaded the server programme from SHOUTCast - so i guess im using my own. Im not all that up to date with all this stuff - so better take my answer as an educated guess - ha ha But the streaming goes through the SHOUTcast server anyway - that much i know. Everytime i shut down my server, then the streaming obviously stops too and the Radio Station Name (UKMan&#39;s KLF Radio) also dissapears.

Also - i think its a great idea (as FC and myself have talked about this before) of different people from different time zones being on -line. The problem is though, getting it all organised.

and im sure we can also rig some sort of script that does a now playing on k-lite radio .... in the chat (if nobody has any objections) :D

im going to look into possible servers however i have figured out that i can tune into UKMans radio and then serve that on again, so if we get lots of ppl hosting it and we make some sort of link which if one station is fuill automaticaly goes onto the next one hmmmm just an idea

Open up the "Output" tab.
Click on "Yellow Pages".
Click on "Make This Server Public"
Fill in "Description" (Mine is "UKMan&#39;s KLF Radio")
Fill in "Genre"
Leave "Local Host"

Then wait about 2 or 3 minutes for you station to be registered by SHOUTcast.

Well, now that NikkiD has started ( great job too ) and most likely others will follow - by the sounds of it, this will hopefully turn into something really nice.

Now though, i am just answering this last post before i re-format my HDD and re-install my OS. Hope to see you all again in a couple of days. It takes me that long because of my working hours ;(

Mostly I get Listeners: 0 which sort of absolves me from any fee per song per listener :shifty: heh
