I dont think there are payservers that allow you to pay by using paypal

A lot of usenet provider (like Ngroups.net) have for now removed PayPal as a payment option , since they, according to them, are selling services which are in violation to their service agreement.

only two accept paypal on their site:
http://www.newsdemon.com/ (http://www.newsdemon.com/?aflid=2273) 45 days retention / $17.99 unlimited per month / (Newshosting reseller's)

http://www.thundernews.com/ (http://www.thundernews.com/?aflid=1075/) 45 days retention / $17.99 unlimited per month / (Newshosting reseller's)

well giganews is good but I think they are a little pricey, news hosting has the same great service and they just upgraded their retion and it is $10 a month less then giganews. I use news hosting and if something happen and i had to chose a new provider i deffinally would not go with giganews unless they start changing their price.

giganews got 70days retention and 1000+ days for text groups, so if u want to pay more for a extra 5 days then i dont really see it being worth it, plus i newsdemon rocks!!!

Umm just read http://www.newsdemon.com/westnewsdemon.php

They added PayPal customers to "new" servers, they could worse than the servers the other customers are on or they just havent got many paypay customers so are letting them test the servers first :D

Yeah no problems after the change here either... During the change it did mess up alot of accounts and Live support got flooded but now Im happy on a european server.

45d is good for some, but I love long retention because it makes it much easier to find the rare stuff, also keeps people from having to request and re-upload same content over and over again.

I use Newshosting and it is freakin great, I pay ~$15/month for unlimited downloads and right now they have 80d retention with NZBs, my connection here in ATL stays maxed out at 8mb :naughty:

long live the Usenet!

I used to use easynews.com a lot and was pretty happy with that. Of course, I didn't know about a lot of other sites, so I'm not sure if some of the other ones here are better.

If you are willing to spend $15/month then get NewsHosting. Unlimited download, 8 connections, 45 day retention. And if you pay for a full year, you get a discount (averages to like $13/month). By far the best deal. You get the most out of your money.

If you will only spend $10/month then get PowerUsenet. 50 day retention, 8 connections and 25 GB downloads per month (not much but its the best deal you will find for $10/month). Another downside to PowerUsenet is you cannot post. Of course, I doubt many people post anywayz. Newsgroups is mostly a leeching service. :P

Anything less than $10/month is really not worth it. And if you are going to pay $10/month might as well upgrade to Newsgroups with that $13/month. Unlimited download, and ability to post. Of course, the rentention goes down 5 days but thats like nothing. :)

I agree completely, Newshosting is awesome and actually you can get NZBs that are 75+ d old from them with no incompletes, I have no complaints especially since I just got hooked up with charter at 10mb down and 1mb up :) NH actually gives me 10mb all day long!!

I know it's hard to tell, but "newsDemon" has none of the real groups and is just like using your ISP's news-service -- may be fast but none of the real messages or groups appear!

TWO-AND-A-HALF YEAR-OLD THREAD? REALLY? And on your first post, too. Way to go, slugger.
