:w00t:
I bought the JBL Creature ll off eBay for only $27 BRAND NEW. They still retail for $99+

I must admit, they sound GREAT! I am quite pleased.
I was previously using the below pictured speakers. They sounded good, but the sub was shit.

Those things look weird as feck, looks aren't everything though. Nice to hear that you're enjoying them :)
I'm loving them. Been listening to high quality stolen music all night long. :D
The 2 silver things sticking up from the sub are bass and treble controls. The weird thing about these is that the volume is adjusted by touch. Touch one side of the speaker and the volume goes up, touch the other side and it goes down.

I've wondered about these before. JBL do a good line in car audio (especially their subs) so I always thought they'd probably be nice.
Also much nicer to say you've got a JBL setup rather than Logitech or some other gamepad manufacturer.
Glad you're enjoying them.

They look kick-ass cool and being JBL you can akmost guarantee that they're gonna sound as good as they look.
Wonder how long before Mission and Bose bring out some killer audio kit...

Yep. You beat me to it VB. Those Companion speakers are the shit. The next time any of you are in a store that sells them, take the time to demo them.
I didn't buy the though b/c they're something like $299. :ermm: Way to much for PC speakers.

LMAO, at first I thought you just retyped his post, ya man Bose is the way to go if you have the funding.
A set of "simple" boss speakers/set up is a thousand times better than a 1000-1200 dollar setup...but bose is very costly.

bose is awesome...but for computer speakers its not worth it...i have a 2.1 altec lansing system and it ROCKS...great bass
I have this setup
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16836113138
for 50 bucks, its awesome. Turn the bass like 30 percent and it sounds beautiful...the speakers have built in midbasses below them.

damn, on mine (comp speakers) i have to have the bass at 3/4 - full, but damn, its the richest most deepest bass you'll ever hear, very controlled too.
