TV show is based on a series of novels by Jeff Lindsay.

I think it will be interesting to see how fondly I look back on my current faves compared to older shows...will they have the same staying power?

If anyone has watched Stargate SG-1 from start to finish, he/she should recognize that it's philosophical genius/humor/ and conistency of plot and enjoyment for 10 seasons merits it being number one. It had its crappy periods, but all shows do. It ended well and did a kick ass job for 10 years. My vote to it!

Other amazing concept shows - with execution!!

StarTrek (TNG) - truly brilliant and revolutionary show
Smallville - gotta love Superman as a kid (they did pretty good)
24 - Jack Baur makes this show sooo great
Prison Break - maybe the most intelligent - alluring show ever
Lost - only because so many people say so... (popularity gets you somewhere)
Friends - (see description above - its fun too)
Seinfield - (if you like that thing)
Full House - (yes, the show rocked)
Buffy - Yes, it rocked (then got weird later on)
Angel - (I think better than Buffy)


(I have left out many others that deserve a nod - sigh - please edit them in)

TV series that I watch:
LOST - The new season is pretty interesting. It's annoying that it got cut up by the writer's strike though.
The Office - This show always has moments where I just break out laughing.
South Park - The new season is so far garbage (other than some awesome moments curtosy of Butters), but I just keep hoping it'll improve. Ditto with The Simpsons/Family Guy for the most part.

I've also found that Arrested Development, 24, Weeds, and Futurama are all pretty good as well.
