Expose yourself to tons or words and their meanings.

Where would one find these "tons"?

Will they fit in a bookbag?

Well in my day I had cards. It's was chock full of words that the layman wouldn't use but yet they are on tests such as the SAT.

Baron's SAT prep book is very well written.

I got the pdf e-book version of it, and it was very helpful.

Get the book if you can tho, cuz it's really annoying when you can't make notes or do practice questions right on the page.

I'd recommend the Princeton Review. It helps you in a very straight forward manner and isn't as wordy as Barrons. I thought Barrons was helpful but the amount of words on the page makes you dizzy...:stars:. Barrons practice tests are also a bit wacky, but their questions are harder than normal so you learn more. Go to your local bookstore and check the SAT books out before buying them. Open them up and look at which one suits your style the best. I wouldn't try learning from the pdf file because then you'll strain your eyes reading in front of the computer screen. After learning specific techniques, I suggest you take the practice tests. This way you'll get yourself adjusted to taking the long ass SAT (3hrs 45mins) and hopefully improve as time goes on. Start reading stuff like Time Magazine (http://www.time.com/time/) because it contains a lot of high frequency words. Good luck :)

Oh and btw what score are you aiming for? I got an 1810 but am trying to get a 2000 this fall. (October 14). Good
