I played Scrabble tonight.
First boardgame I played in 10 years or so...
...only to discover that I still get angry if I'm threatened to lose

I won though :D

Better not play it again. Both bf and I are rather sore losers:ph34r:

He was trying to convince me cranel and freel were actual words:lol:

I played missie at it once, I'd never played it before. The cheating cnutrag kept changing the rules as she went:fist:

Luckily I was armed with the Scrabble rule book

I need to go now. Going to rub it in with the bf that I won at Scrabble despite English only being my second language

I've always been a killer at that game.

That, Outburst, Taboo, Trivial Pursuit and computer Jeopardy.

Taboo is the funnest party game around.

Fact.

Given the recent "garlic escapades" you're probably both pretty sore anyway.

Isn't your bf scottish? If so, then English is his second language also

If my BF loses, then I must have cheated, or else he flatly denies the loss at all. I only mildly throw my toys out the pram.

Both them words are names and names don't count so :P to Sqweeky's BF!

Doesn't count. Lived in London for over a decade. He's not getting that one

The latest rules version of Scrabble allows for some names to be accepted.

You didn't read the rules, doesn't make me a cheat.

Does however, make you a very silly gimp. :smilie4:

Lilmiss

I ate them and made my own rules up as I went along.

The above is only 50% true. :smilie4:

You half ate them and modified the rules when it suited you?

Fortunately for you, Scrabble is based on spelling and not grammar. :pinch:

Maebach and I played Monopoly in remedial English

Fixed.

Here's how that works. If you could just leave one of the option in the sentence then it's OK

So

Maebach played Monopoly in remedial English
I played Monopoly in remedial English

works

Me played Monopoly in remedial English
Maebach played Monopoly in remedial English

doesn't.
