Thats a close call though might have to take NewsHosting if choosing.

hi thanks for the reply,i opted for newshosting and had the Unlimited Monthly $14.95 package.is this package capped as to how fast you can download because im only getting 387kb/s and im on 10mb conection.when i was on 100proof news i was getting 1200kb/s,im not very happy with it upto yet because of the download speed :angry:
plus how do you get all 8 connections that newshosting says

I take it your only using 1 connection then and thats why your getting 387kb/s, Just tick the box's at the bottom of grabit like the picture below to openup another connection, Has you can see in the picture below 8 box's are ticked, So thats 8 connections.

hi,i was using grabit version 1.6.2 beta and all of the boxes were tickd so i unticked the boxes and just ticked the first 8 but i was downloading with 3 connections,weird.so i uninstalled the 1.6.2 beta and put the version that youre using on. (1.5.2 beta)from your screenshot :)
i ticked all of the eight boxes and my speed went straight up to 1150 kb/s.must be a bug in the 1.6.2 version cause it was only downloading with 3 connections no matter what i put it on.cheers for the help lads,sorted now :D

Giganews is the best usenet provider out there, all be it that they are the most expensive.

My understanding is that Powerusenet is a sub-company of Giganews. I use Powerusenet - full connection speed constantly, no downtime, 50 day retiention of binaries. Only down side is that you can not post, but I leave that to the releaser groups because they really know what they are doing.

I use http://newshosting.com/ and I am very happy with them. I keep hearing this rumor that they are planing a new site and with the new site will be increased retion.

I think the site looks badass, I use Newshosting's unlimited plan and have 79d retention using NZBs (Hells Yeah!!!)

Newshosting = Best NSP on the Planet :yup:

Newshosting offers 45-day retention service but actually I could download things which are 51,52 days-old. I wouldn't know if I could download older stuff because I've never tried yet.

yea i can to and I keep hearing that they are going to upgrade their retion so that is probaly what it is. I hope they upgrade it and that way it will force the nzb sites to hold the stuff longer.

i also use Newshosting and have the unlimited plan, been using them for about a year and a half and im never going back to other newsgroup service prodivers (i've tried dozens of em and this is the best one you'll get for the buck)
the new site looks a lot better than the old one by the way.
