When will Vista be released ?!

Ya the latest I heard was jan 2007 but I think the business version is supposed to come out before it by a few months so maybe when that's out it will be available for download. :)

By the looks of it, its going to take for ever to get released :P you know Microsoft. I also heard January release date. I tried Vista a couple months back, and even though there were some obvious changes, most of the important changes dont affect the regular user, it's just the new look thats going to make most of us buy a new graphics card.

I'm trying Linux now on a secondary machine and it's surprisingly good :)

They help each other, the software industry giving a little push to graphics and hardware industry...
Anyway if the major changes have to do with the looks, Aero and that sort of things, i think i'll stick with Linux.

There may be some Volume licenseing transactions going on with RM2 of vista ultimate in late november, as the scuttlebutt goes, but M$ is got it's tail between it's legs due to the fact that they have thousands of customers on a program that supplies them with support and new versions of the OS's. Basicly M$ Charges out the ass for this, and they basicly broke thier end of thier eula with them when the announced the delay.. M$ is changing the way that volume licensing / OEM works as well, and thats another headache. A Birdy told me that RM1 will have a sister, and that rm2 will be released around october and will be the RTM Candidate. And Expect twenty times the amount of WGA and Activation checks in those builds of the os..
