I just finished watching berserk 25 episodes. I see there are some other berserk episodes or film but not sure what it is really? If there were 25 epsodes then what are these?

Nope, AFAIK the anime is the only animated version of Berserk so far, which really REALLY sucks since it's pretty much the best series ever made.

You should read the manga, since it carries on the story, and IMO is infinitely times better than the anime. The anime covered roughly volumes 1-13, though they cut a lot of stuff out. So far there are 32 volumes (though 32 isn't actually complete yet)

The Berserk Manga is a graphic novel which the anime is based on. The anime was only supposed to 'hook' viewers into purchasing the manga. The manga is indeed better, but I agree it's a shame they won't continue the anime. The manga also has a lot more fantasy elements than the anime.

Just so you know, the manga has been running since 1989 and from what I've heard it's about 'halfway through' the story. So, don't expect any end anytime soon.

As for a continuation of the anime, I don't think we'll see anything soon, if ever =/

Yeah, which is a real shame because IMO it's 10x better than things like Naruto and Bleach (though i still love both). It's just not popular enough :(

No, it's more of a content thing. It would have to be changed too much to pass censoring or something such (I don't remember exactly what I heard as it's quite a while ago). It would also be very preferable to have a complete arc to animate I guess (now there are tho...)

However, at least I would prefer to have a complete story to see the animation of. I mean... who would want to see Berserk fillers ala naruto >_<

One of the more gory series out there, if you look for that, I suggest you read the manga tho (and I suggest you read it anyways as the anime pretty much stops without any closure (the manga is still going tho))

I've seen the complete anime twice, and yeah it has one of the worst endings ever, but it's still one of my favorite animes. I just started reading the manga starting from volume 11 and its pretty good. One of my dislikes tho, is that the manga is pretty much very Fantasy.

yeah i have to agree with some of the posters here. i really liked this anime up until the ending which to this day still puzzles me. Since i dont read mangas, i would have hoped that they wouldve made a continuation of the story in anime by now.

IRC is definitely the best place, #lurk on irchighway matches up to the http://gotlurk.net/ website and has tons of manga and the content is spread across 4 pretty fast bots (I average about 90kBps from each and there are no queues)

Other than that you can get manga from boxtorrents with bittorrent or direct download from www.anime-eden.com (need to signup, but its free and has quite a lot of manga and anime)

the anime basically just covers the back story as to why Guts (or the black swordsman) is who he is. But yeah, the manga is pretty effin amazing

Also there are many missing characters in the anime.

The Berserk anime was awesome, I just wish they would continue the story to follow the epic scale of the manga. I want to see a season 2!

I would too. Episode 1 is actually the real ending of the 26 episode anime series that was out in 1997-1998. I think that only covered the first 7 volumes of the manga that was out like 11 years ago.

Very good story in this series. I started watching it at about 10pm one night and stayed up watching it to the last episode until early the next morning. I just couldn't turn off my tv. lol
Not much into reading manga but if its as good as everyone says then I think I'll be reading it

same thing will probably happen if you read the manga. it is addicting, and waiting months for a new chapter is agonizing.

I was blown away with the manga. I lost the website though where the manga is. Can anyone recommend a good place to read the manga online instead of downloading it?

I tried reading the manga but just couldn't get into it and after seeding back to 1:1 I deleted but if I still had it I would tried to put it put on rapidshare for you. I got it from boxtorrents. Its a little over a gig and very easy to seed back there if your as big a fan as you sound then it'll be worth it.

Yes unfortunately the manga is your only option. Episode one is really episode 26 if that makes any sense. Thats when gutz becomes the black swordsman.
