Nero 7

Is it possible to only install Nero Burning ROM 7.x.x.x without installing all those extra tools that are included in the Nero 7 Premium Update.

You can deselect some of the tools in the installer but not all :frusty:

if ur not gonna be using blu-ray i'd say stick with nero 6. nero 7 isn't needed and like u've said is quite bloated. klmcp nero 7 edition in the works? :)

Nero is the best application. I had nero 7 but i didn't like the interface. I thought i'd rather stick with nero 6 OEM.

I like the sloppy Nero Burning Rom Interface. Haha, it's so much better than those limited wizards.

I like Nero 6.0 better because 7.0 seems so buggy, BUT 6.0 doesnt recognise my DVD writer for some reason, so have to use 7.0 for that.

Same here went back to 7 premium and all seems fine . Just the bare tools ,tho I can't seem to get rid of the Nero Scout icon in " my computer " for some reason . :huh:

To remove Nero Scout icon, Start>Run> Copy and paste this:


regsvr32 /u "%COMMONPROGRAMFILES%\Ahead\Lib\MediaLibraryNSE.dll"

and execute.

Yes the reg hack works great ....I'm glad VB remembered it every time I reinstall nero I have to search for the old post with this info...
