Great news that BitTorrent is open source too.

Source is written in Python.

Thanks for that

2 questions

Is this a GUI for bittorent, so that it needs to already be installed, or does it stand alone.

If I have BT installed (which I do) do I have to remove anything before installing this.

It's the complete program.

I recommend uninstalling the old version first.

Cheers

One more thing - will it be able to resume things I have started.

I assume yes, if I point it at them, just thought I'd check.

Yes it will, just resume them the same way you would normally.

Seems to be working well.

Added benefit, it minimises to the system tray.

I prefer that.

chill stoi, goodness.

I was just trying to be helpfull.

1. As of late, there are ton of noobs asking about bt, specially after x2, and wanting to know more about it...
2. Your post on it was burried in a old thread, that many have missed.... I didnt see it before hand either, as it wasnt really refered to specifically.
3. I just found it today, tried it out, and figured, hey, maybe someone else would like this controlled upload version...

If you right click on a torrent in utorrent and choose properties you can limit the upload on each file. Bit of a pain to do to loads of files but quite useful if you are only seeding a few.

WHY did you revive a topic that is 4 years old?

I do it with azureus all the time. I'm sure that many other clients have this feature as well

I can still see the cobwebs in this thread. I said it before and say it again, there's amazing thread diggers over here.
