View Full Version : What's wrong with my shoes???

Since the whole ankle thing, I've been wearing my trainers to work cause work boots hurt too much at the moment. Today, I was told by a woman whose computer I worked on that her 14 year old daughter has shoes like mine and she doesn't know how I can pull off wearing something like that.

So I ask you. What's wrong with my shoes?

Mine have a white logo instead of gold but they're essentially the same.

I like them, a nice deck shoe.

Maybe she's suggesting you're wearing them out of season.

Maybe she means you've got legs like a 14 yr old.

Yeah, convince yourself that's it. :yup:

Maybe the women in question was just being a bitch?

Then you should have used one of your shoes to boot her up her arse! That would have been a witty retort. :D

Oh and nice shoes imho :)

i'd say "pull off wearing them? yeah, because most people burst into flames if they leave the house in these"

I think she was just jealous because my shoes rawk and hers are ugly.

I know my shoes rawk because when I bought them, my son said, "Mom, those shoes rawk!"

Nikki, is it at all possible that it was a compliment. i.e. saying that you had managed to "pull off" wearing shoes intended for a 14 year old.

If you are a lady, then they are not very lady like. However they are passable for todays standards depending on situation where they are worn.

Nobody who counts is looking at NikkiD's shoes.

I have now seen her shoes, I can merelly envision hot sweaty toes. With time smell may increase.
I have not seen what is attached to the shoes.

:D Then my dear lady, the thicker the padding the better. Those steel shreds lying on the floor can go seriousy deep.

I didn't know they were skate shoes. I don't wear or see anyone wear shoes like that besides young white boys.:idunno:

Skechers and Vans come to mind when I see shoes like that.

No BM , Lpark is right. Wearing skate shoes doesn't make you a chav anymore than wearing running shoes if you don't run do.
Skate shoes are wide platforms for landing tricks ect which make them amoung the most comfortable and hardwearing of sports shoes.
Wearing skate shoes and a lot of gold makes you a chav.

Never the less I still found that funny and will spend today calling Nik a chav :01:

Thanks Jonus. I got that they weren't chavish or even lavish thanks to LP. They jus aren't commun round hear.

edit: Maybe they were common around the Beat Street and Breakin' days....fat shoe laces and all.

In my opinion they are ugly but comfy can trump ugly in many cases. I prefer a more dress casual look. If I had those on, I'd probably wanna bust out into a windmill or start pop-locking.

I like something like this (without the metal dot though):

or even this in brown (preferably without the streak on it):

I like Nikki's shoes. The woman who said that obviously has issues with getting old and was maybe a little jealous.

...or just has a different style and doesn't like it:dabs:. I think the old bag should have STFU with the "[she doesn't] know how I can pull off wearing something like that". Pull what off? That's Nikki's style.

When around people at work sometimes it's best to keep shit to yerself.
