Don't know if this is the proper place to post this but will throw it out there and see if anyone can help. I am running win98se and had a problem where I had to reinstall windows. After reinstalling windows I can not run most games I get error messages about wrong versions of d3d9 and missing or corrupt files and missing export files. I think there is a conflict between directx versions and the files installed. I have tried to install direct9 and also 8 but nothing seems to work. Anyone have any ideas?

I don't think you can uninstall direct x 9b but your hardware might not support it . Mabye try System File Checker to replace the corrupt files , Its been awhile since I'v heard of win 98 problems tho .
