You cant delete you own threads unless your Team or Crew on the site.
You can click the report button and request it be done though...

I'm drunk and pissed off steve irwin died

and I never got why we can't delete out own post, even if we delete our post, mods and smods can see deleted post so it makes no sense not to let us edit out own post, we can't even edit our thread title's

whats up with that?

I just don't get it

If your able to delete your threads all posts made within would go so thats why we dont have that option. As for deleting your own posts it could make a thread look confusing whereas if you just edit them its clear. As mentioned you can edit your titles now. If you want a thread you made deleted ask and say why using the report button...

this is the internet

if I create a thread I should have the right to end/delete it

if you lose a post or 2 because the thread starter decided the thread went astray are for what ever reason we should have the right, we created it, the only people that will care are post whores

who cares what they think, you act like that once the thread starter deletes the thread you can't see/retrieve it (bring it back)

I still don't see the point in not letting us delete our own threads or post

No. Deleting other people's posts by deleting your own thread is just wrong. Though only the childish and emo would use such an option.

"Oh there not discusing things teh whey i want... /delete /sulk."
