if the disk is ok just wack in it a few more times, try different angles push in upwards then push in downwards.
Is the disk drive making scanning noises or sounding like RRRRR RRR RRR RRR shit
or is it sounding correct?
if not then the floppy disk is screwed which happens easily

Have you tried any other disc in the floppy drive?

Well depends if you can read any other disk. But you should check first if its installed and working, check in device manager. Check in bios also if you got it selected right for your floppy drive.

If the drive won't read other disks then it's busted ($10-15 part).
If other disks work then that disk is fcked (quit using floppys).

I lost a whole University essay once because of a dodgy floppy.

That incident taught me that sending yourself an email with the file as an attachment is a much better idea...

Probably it is the disk . I asume you tried it at school afterwards.

Almost 2 weeks since you started this thread and that's all you have to say?

How about answering some questions starting with:
Have you tried any other disc in the floppy drive?

what program was the disc written with?Do you also have that program?
You can take floppys apart and put the disc into a different case.....

There are 2 reasons
1- The Disk may be damaged.
2- The Floppy disk drive damaged.

i really dont know why random people revive old old old threads that cant be helped on, nor do i know how they find them...do they just look for people with floppy drive problems?

USB Flash Drives only way to go almost every computer in modern usage has a usb drive may not be 2.0 but for documents still works.
