They are little rar files. You need to get a program like winrar from http://rarlabs.com/download.htm and then open one of the rar files with winrar and push extract.

r the files in .TS format?
if so then u can play them in videolan, but u do get the annoying small jump when it opens up the next .TS file in the playlist.
there are ways of joining the .TS files into 1 big TS file but im unable to find a way of doing this :(

I'm using NullPacketStripper to merge .ts files. It's really simpel and easy.
And if you have damaged .ts files, tryout VideoReDo to fix them, it worked for me.

Why merge them? Just playback as a DVD movie. Use something like Power DVD and open the VIDEO_TS.IFO file to start it.

There is no IFO files, just a bunch of .TS files.
Isn't IFO files just on/for dvd's?

Exactly!
Maybe TheaterTek can play them, but if you merge them, Media Center, Media Center Extender (Xbox360) and other programs can play them without you making a playlist or something like that.
