Texas vs Ohio State. :w00t:

It's go time! :01:

#1 vs #2

Ohio State is ranked #1 with Texas at #2.

Texas went undefeated last year to win the National Championship. This year we have a lot of returning starters, but a rookie at QB.

Ohio State lost their top defense forces though.

Texas has the longest current winning streak in the national at home and overall.

On Tuesday I read that the spread was 12 points, in favor of OSU.

Any predictions before tomorrow night?

You bet!

I watched the news this afternoon at lunch, and there just a sea of red on 6th street. Us locals were still working of course, and couldn't start the good times yet. :frusty:

I checked the flight schedules earlier this week, Continental had an extra 10 flights per day coming to Austin.

It's a big thing to walk into Austin and pull out a win. The last team to do it was Arkansas in 2002 I believe. (Fucking shit-ass Chris Simms)

My buddy has an old short school bus that we coverted into the ultimate tailgate party wagon. We'll drive around tomorrow and pick everyone up for the day of tailgating, then it's back to another friend's house for the game.

I'm a bit worried about Tarell Brown being out, but screw it. I can't worry about it now. :ermm:

How often do the number and #1 and #2 play against each other? Hardly.

Man this is a great time for football.

Texas/Ohio State tomorrow then on Sunday I've got 3 NFL division rival games

Philly at Houston at 1pm

Dallas at Jacksonville at 4:15pm

& Indy at NY Giants at 8:15pm

thennnnnn on Monday

my Redskins at Minnesota at 7pm.

I fucking love it!

14 - 7 halftime Ohio's flavor.

Imho Texas wouldn't even have seven if wasn't for that utter bullshit personal foul call.

The hit on McCoy wasn't late nor was it helmet to helmet contact.

Troy Smith for Ohio is looking great.

Texas' drive was flawless until the fabled "fumble at the 1-yard line."

Ohio beats Texas 24 - 7.:pinch:

Try Smith had about 270 passing yards and 2 TDs. He was excellent.

Now since Notre Dame beat Penn State and USC beat Arkansas (:ermm: )shouldn't Texas drop from #2?

I think so.

I thought Texas was going to pull an "upset" over Ohio.:(

The disappointment here in Austin is absolutely overwhelming. We haven't lost a home game in over 3 years. I really thought we had this one.

I can say though, that if OSU didn't win this, that they were idiots. Now that Greg Davis doesn't have Vince to hide behind, it's back to the predictable, ultra conservative football that he's known for. Run on first and second, then throw on third. Why don't you throw on first down you fucktard?!?!? Just sitting and watching the game, me and one friend were predicting almost every single play. Fucking pathetic. I'm embarrassed at our showing tonight.

I think that if we pushed our team and played it right, we could have had this one.

Oh well, we'll drop to maybe 4th, most likely 5th now.

It musta been cos a dat cold sore (herpes) on Greg Davis' lip. Like I said, you guys shouldn't evena had 7 points. I thought for sure you'd win at home.

Nah. That was Mack Brown, the Head Coach. Greg Davis is the Offensive Coordinator up in "the booth".

I can't believe how gloomy the mood is around town today. It's downright depressing.

Yesterday we had and extra (estimated) 150,000 people in town, planes were flying all around with advertising banners, fighter jets flying overhead really low practicing their pre-kickoff fly-by, parties and tailgaters having a blast, and spirits were high.

You can hear a pin drop today.
