Sound Problems

I have managed to download working copies of Battlerealms and Neverwinter Nights. But with both games, I have serious sound problems. Music doesn't play, or the wrong sounds keep playing. It kind of detracts from the gaming experience. Are there any programs to fix these problems? What is it about sound files that makes them the only thing to go wrong with the game?

Are U sure that the problem is with the sound files? I also had problems with NWN soud (the music wouldan't play) and it turned out to be a problem with my sound card....so if U downloaded, burned and installed the game no problemo, then maby U should check U'r sound card ;)
