Movie Download Burning

I am relatively new to this. But I have just purchased a Sony DVD Writer 500AU (I think). It's the newest Sony Model. Anyway, I would like to burn a DVD movie that I pulled from Kazaa. Can anyone advise me as to what is the best software to use? The files themselves are larger than the capacity of a DVD so I am thinking that I would need to compress them. I dont think that the software provided with the DVD player will work. Can anyone advise? Thanks.

Goto http://www.doom9.org/ and http://www.dvdrhelp.com/. There are several programs to do DVD authoring, ripping, stripping, size reduction, etc.

opps forget about what i said about nero its DVDs ur talking about use smart ripper or just go to the links Darth mentioned
